Russian School System

In Russia we have different School System. Our education more focused on learning sciences. Our education more focused on learning sciences ( like moth, geometry, chemistry, algebra). We can not choose subject at school. We must learning all science that school have: Russian language, literature, algebra, geometry, English, physic, chemistry, phusic culture, informatics, computer technology, music, history, social studies, biology, drawing.

We have different type school: school learning only standard items – this is secondary school. And, we have schools which teaching knowledge in selected subjects  ( this is gymnasiums and lyceum).

In gymnasiums all grade have  3 direction: economy, social and linguistic. I was studying in gymnasiums, economy grade.  

We have more lessons math, economy, informatics. Student who study in social class have more social studies, history. And student who study in linguistic class have more English per week, and also they have German or French language ( it`s your choose). 

School also is divided into Grate ( 1-4 grade), Middle ( 5- 9 grade) and Hight school ( 10-11 grade). But, all students study in one big building. Most school in Moscow have 3 level. In Moscow 2725 school. In school we go with parents, or transport ( bus, metro, etc) or by yourself. Because in Russia we can drive only since 18 years old.

School beginning September 1. And over 27 may. We have 1 week holiday after every 4th week. Also, holiday on National holiday ( New Year, International Woman`s day and etc).We study 6 days per week ( Monday – Sunday).In one day school we have five or six or seven lessons. One lessons lasts 45 min. After lesson time out 10 min. after 4^th class we have big time out – 20 min (all schools in different ways). Someone went eat lunch, someone went play basketball or soccer, or something else.

Also we can choose 9 or 11 years we wont study ( basic general education or average complete general education). After school most student ( 98%) will go to university.
